The network leak test is a regulatory requirement in a lot of countries. Several laws often require this kind of check over combustible gas installations. The frequency of inspections depends on the type of installation and its use.
Any significant pressure variation within a system indicates a potential leak. A special gas differential pressure manometer gauge can therefore be used to measure pressure stability.
